
Tony Iovino is an author, poet, attorney and community leader.
His new novel, Notary Public Enemy (Diversion Press, 2011) is available for pre-order on Amazon.com and will be launched widely on August 15, 2011.
Tony's essays and poems have appeared widely in print and on-line literary magazines and anthologies, and he is the founder and host of the Summer Gazebo Readings, an acclaimed outdoor series featuring readings by distinguished poets and authors each Monday in June, July & August in Oceanside, NY.
A resident of Rockville Centre, NY, Tony has received numerous recognitions for his community service and his work within the literary community, including having been named Long Islander of the Week (Newsday, May, 2011), Citizen of the Year (Oceanside Chamber of Commerce) and Kiwanian of the Year. He is the recipient of the Community Service Award from the Long Island Writer’s Guild, and the Make a Difference Award from the Town of Hempstead, and was honored by United New Yorkers for Choice in Education.
A native Long Islander, Tony is a graduate of the University of Richmond and St. John's University School of Law. He was recently named a “Legal Eagle” by Long Island Pulse magazine and is the lead litigation partner in Bondi Iovino & Fusco, a full-service Garden City law firm.
Tony has served on the Boards of several non-profit organizations and was an elected Trustee on the Oceanside Board of Education.
Tony is married to his childhood sweetheart, Angela. They have two daughters, Amanda and Alison, neither of whom have ever given them a moment of concern.
